Prediabetes is a health condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not yet high enough to be classified as type 2 diabetes. It's an early warning sign that someone is at increased risk for developing diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. There’s no need to panic if you’ve been advised you have glucose levels in the prediabetes range, as there’s lots of manageable ways to nudge it back into a healthy level.

At DietScope we can steer you in the right direction and get things back on track with our online 1:1 private programme or small group Fast-Track weekend course. You’ll be led by a private nutritionist via telephone or video-call, tailored to your own tastes and lifestyle, from the comfort of your own home. The advice you receive will be manageable, while relevant to your individual goals and lifestyle. No foods are excluded and no strict rules are necessary to ensure a long-term solution.

While the NHS group-led programme can be a huge help for some, the format doesn’t appeal to others and not all parts of it are always relevant to each individual. It can be inconvenient to attend all of the in-person sessions, and many people simply prefer a private and personalised approach to their health

Customisable, personalised, private.

Similar to the NHS Diabetes Prevention programme we can cover a range of modules to ensure a good all round knowledge and put together a plan to lower your blood sugar levels (and keep them low!). However being a more personalised service we can spend more time on the elements of the programme most relevant to you, with options to cover different dietary approaches, meal composition, sleep, stress, movement, hydration, alcohol, supplements, cooking methods, meal planning and many more. For the 1-to-1 sessions we can quickly find out the specific issue and tailor your plan, rather than use your time to discuss non-relevant matters. You also can progress through the programme in your own time, be sure of the same practitioner throughout, and benefit from the privacy of a private relationship.

Will I be told to cut out carbs?

No! restrictive diets are not necessary to reduce blood sugar and can cause more harm in the long-run, as with any restrictive diet. You will have the freedom to create your own plan based on the food you genuinely enjoy!
